Privacy Policy & Terms

Important notice

Ask TALIA is an AI-powered document analysis tool. It is not a law firmand does not provide legal advice. TALIA's analysis is for informational purposes only. For any binding legal decision, please consult a qualified solicitor or attorney.

1. What we do

Ask TALIA helps you understand contracts by using AI to generate plain-English summaries, identify key terms, flag potential concerns, and suggest questions to ask.

When you upload a contract, TALIA reads and analyses the text in real time, then returns the insights directly to your browser. This process happens entirely in memory.

2. Your contract — what we do and don't store

We do not store your contract. Your document is uploaded securely, processed immediately, and discarded. No copy of your contract text is saved to any database, file system, or third-party service.

The analysis result (TL;DR, red flags, key terms, questions) is returned to your browser and optionally stored in your browser's session storage — which is cleared when you close the tab.

If you choose to email your results, the analysis content (not the original document) is transmitted to our email provider to deliver your message. It is not stored after sending.

3. AI-assisted learning (anonymized insights)

To improve TALIA's understanding of what is "normal" in different types of contracts — such as standard payment terms, notice periods, or common clause types — we extract a small set of anonymized, structural patterns from each analysis.

What we may collect anonymously:

  • ·Contract type category (e.g. "freelance", "employment")
  • ·Risk level and red flag count
  • ·Whether certain clause types were present (e.g. arbitration, auto-renewal)
  • ·Governing law jurisdiction (country or state level only)
  • ·Payment term range pattern (e.g. "net-30")
  • ·Notice period range pattern (e.g. "30 days")

What we never collect: your name, company name, counterparty name, specific financial figures, contract text, or any personally identifiable information. Redacted sections are never stored.

This data is used only to improve TALIA's analysis quality and understanding of market norms. It is never sold, shared, or used for advertising.

4. Your consent

By uploading a document and checking the consent box, you confirm that:

  • ·You are knowingly allowing TALIA (an AI system) to read and process your document.
  • ·You understand TALIA's analysis is not legal advice.
  • ·You accept these Terms and Privacy Policy.
  • ·You are authorised to share the document you upload (e.g. you are a party to the contract or have permission to share it).

5. Redacted documents

If you redact or hide parts of your document before uploading — to protect personal details, company names, or sensitive figures — TALIA will process only the visible content. Redacted sections are acknowledged in the analysis but never reconstructed or stored. We actively support this as a privacy-preserving practice.

6. Data we collect about you

To access your results, you are required to provide an email address. We use this to:

  • ·Deliver your contract analysis results to your inbox.
  • ·Occasionally send you product updates, tips, and news about Ask TALIA.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send. We will never sell your email address or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

We may collect standard server logs (IP address, request timestamp, file size) for security and abuse prevention purposes. These are not linked to your contract content.

7. Third-party services

Ask TALIA uses the following services to operate:

  • ·Anthropic Claude API — for AI analysis (contract text is sent to Anthropic's servers and processed under their enterprise data handling policy; Anthropic does not train models on API inputs by default)
  • ·Resend — for sending email results (your email address and analysis content are transmitted only when you request an email)
  • ·Vercel — for hosting (standard infrastructure; no contract data is stored)

8. Limitation of liability

Ask TALIA provides this service "as is". We make no warranty that the analysis is complete, accurate, or suitable for any specific legal purpose. We are not liable for any decisions made based on TALIA's output.

Always seek independent legal advice before signing any contract with significant legal or financial consequences.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If material changes are made, we will update the "last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
